CONDITION
When the sculpture arrived at the studio, pieces
from the left wing were detached. There were
missing parts, chipping and abrasions along the
profile of wings and feather area. The base had an
expansion crack. The finish was worn on the
wings, head and neck.
TREATMENT
The detached sections of wings were repaired,
and the missing pieces were reproduced with hand
carved elements and attached accordingly.
The finish on all repairs was matched to the
existing color.
